Default 135 Checkride help

We are supposed to be doing our 135 checkride by the end of this week. Does anybody have any help or can share their expeirences? I have the weather, duty time, and airplane specs, down pretty well-pretty much what we went thru in ground school.

Is there much else we should know?

Know your Op Specs, all of them. Read your GOM over and over and over again. V-speeds are fair game. And obviously your gonna run through the weather so even though you think you know it run through some scenarios with your partners. Whenever you are given a "what you would do" situation, after the airplane is safely on the ground or near columbus if it affects the work getting to the destination immedietly contact dispatch no matter what. ALWAYS call dispatch. And also know your Hazmat.
As far as the flight goes, relax and use your checklist. They will try to rush you and slam dunk some approaches on you. Don't be a hero or worry bout accepting tight vectors. If you need time to setup, ask for it. Checkride isn't to see how fast you can fly, its seeing if you can fly the profiles. So if you aren't setup at the marker as specified your aren't following the profiles. Comms, Navs, Headings, Markers. Talk your way through it because they will most likely just be sitting there and if you talk you settle yourself down.
Good luck.

I don't have my notes with me from ground, but our instructor was Walt (now at JR), and he gave us the true gouge on the oral. All of the above, and then for any answers you don't know, 1) call Mx, 2) call dispatch, 3) call ACP.

I think that was the gouge...there was another in there, like put airplane in hangar or something, but you get the idea.

Good luck, relax, and do what you've been doing. Don't let them rush you. You're a freight pup, not a dawg yet. At your 6 month, you should be able to handle the speed they throw at you, for now, Comms, Navs, Headings, Markers. Also, check Notams. You never know when frequencies change, or airports close due to snow, etc.

Yeah I'm going to need that 6 month gouge at some point soon. Even though I've been here for almost 9 months I've yet to take a 6 month ride. Do to delays with upgrade training.
