|  SLC AMFers Birds?
Hey guys, did someone hit a bird or multiple birds the other night(Mon) in SLC? After I landed ground asked if I knew anything? The WAX guy thought he heard some one say there was a fox on the runway. I didn't see or hear anything. Just wondering what was up

My trainee and I hit a rather large owl in a Be-99 in the flare. It crossed from right to left and went through the left prop. No damage (except to the owl). Airport ops had what was left of it in the back of their truck when they came over to talk to me and look for damage to the plane. Too bad there wasn't enough left to take home and cook for dinner! Mmmm... grilled owl!  |

Glad there was no damage(other than the tasty owl). SLC can be a damn zoo sometimes. I saw a Coyote running out onto 35 the other night.

We gots skunks, foxes, red tail, kestrel, crows, sparrows, and some herons, etc at LGB. Watch yo selfs... We had a JetBlue bird strike that turned out to be a redtail. Thems birds is getting captured and released in a different hood. |
