Default New to the Forums & Needing advice

I am new to this forum and in need of advice. I have worked under 135 flying boxes for about two years in multi a/c. Things are changing @ my present company and I am now searching for a new job. I have around 2700 total/1500 multi/1000 night and in my mid-twenties. I have tried amflight but had no response. I am trying to remain flying cargo single-pilot. I also would like to stay in a/c with two engines and turbine. I am open to moving anywhere, but prefer the mid/southwest. If any one has any ideas about who to look at let me know. Also with these times would going right into a metro or mu2 be at all possible.

Who are you flying for now?

Plenty of AmFlight guys around who are sure to respond, so fear not!

Welcome

I think Jtrain will chime in soon. How much turbine? Call AMF and talk to Joni don't wait like I did. There isn't anything in the midwest but hey you never know what might be in the works. There are alot of AMF'ers here just wait a day or two. Do you like Montana or Mississippi?

I don't work for Epps but know someone who does. I think their mins are 3000 TT. The pay seems to be descent, although I don'e know exact numbers. My friend just recently moved from the freight side to the charter side and really likes it.

Check21 I am not sure what the mins are for bankair but I know a few pilots that work there and could ask them. I am fairly certain with your times that you would qualify. I could ask around for you and find out what they say. I'm not sure who you fly for now but have you looked at AirNet? They have turbine a/c but I don't know if they hire direct into the lears.

Thanks DC3Flyer... also SCflyin that would be great... and as far as Airnet, I see AN guys everynight in their Lear and they all say hiring directly into the jet is very unlikely no matter what a person's total time is...

Here's what you going to do:

-You're going to fill out the Ameriflight online application. You already did that, right? If you didn't, they won't respond. Take care of it, that's the most important step.

-After that you're going to call Joni on Tuesday. To get a hold of her you're going to dial 1-800-800-4JET and say "Hello there, can I have Joni over in recruiting?" and you'll be connected to Joni.

-You'll tell Joni you're a current 135 pilot and you're very interested in flying for us and that you're willing to move to whatever base we need people in (you are of course, right?)

-She will say, "Oh I'm so glad you called! Listen can you come out to Burbank next week for an interview?"

-You will interview here. You will read the gouge, it's spot on.

-You will be in our next indoc class.

Any questions? Send me a PM or hit me up on AIM, my screen name is jtrain609

SJU has been filled from the outside before, but it's doubtful that it'll happen right now. If you want turbine you're looking at SLC or Billings (you should be able to get either with all your multi time), or Chieftain in OAK or PDX.

PM for details.

That's how it will go down. If, by chance it doesn't, there are other ways. But just do what he says.

Indeed, alternate methods can be taken into consideration but I don't like to do that stuff until I get to know somebody

This is true. Worked there (as line service, not flying) and it was scary.
