Very good to hear the ol' boy made it safely and was able to walk away from the crash--after all, what's the ol' cliche'....any landing is a good one that you can walk away from. At least we don't have to rely on the media and arm chair pilots jumping to assumptions as a result of the pilot being dead when it's easier to blame a crash on the pilot. Perhaps we'll hear this fellas side of the story on the events that transpired.
Most important thing--he survived and walked away from it. The plane can be replaced.

You guys are getting good. No one's speculating the cause of this one on JC. But I know you were thinking about it.

Not everyone on this site jumps to conclusions on the cause of accidents--though I'd be curious to read the NTSB report later on. I can see where folks would start speculating....from the article it mentioned that there was 2 miles vis reported, but the fire dept captain said it was 1/4 mile vis when fire dept was called out--that's enough to get the arm chair pilots to start figuring out the cause of the accident. Hopefully, the majority of folks can keep an open mind and still glad the ol' boy set er' down safely.
