so i'm hearing you guys say that it is possible to get a 14 hour run shortly after employment, if you're willing to work it; which would get you into the $30k range, right? thx |

I'm amazed that I didn't have to fight for the run that I have. I literally sit on my a$$ the entire day, from about 0700 until 1600. I do NOTHING in that time!!! Ask wildfreightess about it - she used to fly this run (before she got all fancy in the Baron . . . ). It's the DREAM RUN. But, if you speak to some of the other CPS pilots, they'll say that they can't stand doing nothing, and that they'd rather fly for 8 hours per day, or some other God-Awful crap. So, I didn't even have to bargain to get this one - it just happened!

Yeah Lloyd has it pretty well, but i know hed leave in a heartbeat for nashville or a baron though, and whoevers there in training or wanting that run, itll be there. I fly 7 legs which with about 4 horus of flyin so i sit on my ass 9 hours of the day, pretty nice. I dont know how im gonna deal with not having a 4 to 5 hour lunch break everyday when I leave here.

Just an update from Orlando. Lloyd you were right about that final. It's definitely a tough test if you didn't read Austin's stuff prior to class. There were two in my class. I scored slightly higher on the test so I had the seniority among the two of us. That in fact did not affect the bases really since we both wanted very different things. My classmate got LUK as a base which is exactly what he wanted as he has a home and family there. The DO couldn't narrow down where I am going to go exactly but assured me it will probably be a rotational assignement out of either Tampa or Orlando, which I am quite happy with either. Well I start flight training next week so I have to study the flows. Will |

Passed my checkride! Absolutely no surprises at all on this one. It did take 9 duty hours to complete though thanks to a minor mx issue, then having ti put down in SFB twice courtesy of weather. I start flying the line outta TPA on Monday. I hope I don't screw up! Will |
