|  HazMat question
Im just a simple single pilot 135 VFR. I was asked the other day if a passanger could use his medical oxygen poor health I suppose. I told them that he couldn't. I checked my ops specs and there is nothing that says anything about passanger using there own provided oxygen. Only that we must provide oxy to passangers above such and such altitude, than that we don't have a way to provide oxygen and than we can't fly over a certain altitude. We don't carry hazmat either and the boss hasn't sent me to hazmat recongization trainging. So I guess to sum it up can I take this old fart or not?

I think I remember reading that people can't bring personal oxygen on board, but you as the operator can supply it. IE - if the company has a FAA approved oxygen bottle, they can supply it to the pax. But I just fly boxes, so what do I know...

To my knowledge you cannot allow them to take their own O2. If you do transport the bottle it must be transported empty with the valve open. If your company allows, they may supply O2 to the passenger but most do not as this increases their liability. I know that you can allow certain portable O2 concentrators onboard with company approval.

They are not medically fit to fly with you. If they need to stay on oxygen, then they need to fly on an airplane that is equipped for them, with a crew that is trained and and equipped for them.
