You can try...you'd stand a better chance of bidding a BDL run later, but you can get lucky out of training. There's nothing guaranteed, as of right now, that I know of, though. Good luck and let me know if you need anything else. TX |

I've heard rumors that Airnet might, in the future, consider hiring into bases. Teterboro has been mentioned in the rumor mill. Just rumors? I wouldn't know. As far as getting hired, hours-wise- I got hired with 1160/70

Yes, they have been toying with the idea (FAC=Flight Advisory Committee), but I haven't heard of them actually hiring into specific bases. PS I had 1170/35 when hired. Now around 1750/400+ ME/150+SE turbine |

Have you told Zeke yet? LOL. I'm not saying you can't get BDL but it would be a hit or miss thing. Lately people have been waiting in Columbus for runs to open. Start putting your apps out there and see what you can get. I've heard of people getting hired with less hours than you. Have you thought about Cape Air? Wait another couple hundred hours and get the ATP, and get on with them (since you're talking about waiting until summer). I'm pretty sure Hopp is still there...if you don't know him, one of us old timers could get you hooked up with him. Good luck! TX |

ahhh...you worked at #####izon?...haha.. I still have 2 years to go till my ATP, im just under 21 right now (may 13th...counting the days..haha)... When did you work here?... and yes the infamous hopper is still around..last I heard he is Puerto Rico.. I was looking into the Cape option, but I would be a FO on a 402 for 3 years... I would love to do it..but can't justify the drive, and the pay cut (yes...a CFI pay can be cut...) |

Okay, yes the 402 SIC thing for 2+ years would suck. Yes, I was there for about 6 months as a part-timer (worked weekends). I also instructed at UUU for 1 1/2 years. I was there from Sep 03-Mar 04 or something like that. As far as Cape Air...you could go to Guam for a while on the ATR . I know, trying to stay close to the NE. Send out those apps and see what happens.TX |

That a/c had what 30K flight hours or something??? Wow, Tweety's gone... How many hours of dual given do you have now??? I can imagine you're getting burnt out (550 dual given myself). There was a guy in Taunton, MA who had like 2500+ dual given while he got his immigration stuff straightened out when I was there (doing the CFI) in 2002-2003. He was well over 3000TT...I wonder where he ended up??? He had been there for over 3 years waiting for his paperwork. Good luck out there. |

HA, you better hope Zeke or Bob are not reading these boards. Once they hear you're looking for another job they'll cut you lose and you'll end up on the street!! Seriously, if I were you I'd consider the military. Fun flying, decent pay, and you'll get extra retirement income. You can always fly commercial afterward. Play any half life lately? Man, that place isn't half the place it once was....long live the hell raisers!!!! |

I would hope Zeke and Bob realize he has 1300 hours and will eventually be moving on...of course, we are talking about PVD and that atmosphere. Hi Zeke and Bob!!! I'll leave the military discussion alone and leave it to the experts .
