Exclamation Last minute airnet advice

Hey guys I have my interview with airnet on thursday the 12th and was just looking for any last minute advice. I have been studying for about 3 weeks and flew the sim a couple of times. I feel prepared. I will not be wearing a suit or tie as I hear Craig likes just a dress shirt and slacks. But just wondering if anyone has any great words of wisdom.

Thumbs up Advice

Sounds like you are well prepared!
Some tips from my experience:

-Make sure you have studied the interviews at www.aviationinterviews.com
-Know your twin engine aircraft well (especially how you know the gear is down and locked)
-Be social during the lunch they provide. They generally bring a couple of different people to interact with you.
-Show your enthusiasm (sp?) about wanting to be a "starchecker", but don't go too overboard
-In the sim, don't be afraid to ask for delay vectors or another turn in the hold if you aren't ready to go in for the approach

Other than that, it sounds like you have studied and are well prepared. Let us know how it goes!

Good luck!

Default Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I've been studying aviation interviews for a few weeks. Even made up my own study guide from there. Just getting a few butterflies now. I really am enthusiastic about working for them. Nothing to do now but relax and review a little.

This is VERY important. From my experience with them, they seem to like the "frat boy" image. Be outgoing and stick to your technical answers. Don't let Craig talk you out of your original answer.

Good luck!!

Default Airnet

I just got an invitation to train with Airnet on Friday, the day after my interview last week. I'm about as far from a "Frat Boy" as you can get. In fact, there was a mix of different types of people in that interview and we were all equally exasperated about the sim ride. In my opinion, they want someone who's enthusiastic and loyal. Of course, be as strong as you can in your scan and study aviation interviews!

Default Hard to say

I think it whent well, but I hate to speculate before I get an answer. I believe I did very well on the Tech, HR, and written. I know I made one mistake in the sim and tried to correct it (long story). I guess I will find out this week.

Any word, yet??? I know they were closed yesterday for MLK Day, but Zues called me today to return a message I'd left about class, so I know he was there. He was the one that called to tell me I'd been selected btw. I hear Craig makes those calls too, though.

unfortunatley I didn't get the job. That sucks because I really like the company. Didn't say what disqualified me. I will re-apply in six months if I don't have another job. Back to the drawing board.

I feel for ya. That happened to me at Skyway...I'm from the area and really wanted to fly for them, but they didn't pick me on my first interview. They encouraged me to reapply in six months, but I started looking elsewhere. I like Airnet because they called right away. It takes me weeks to get connected with someone from Skyway. Don't like that very much.

Good luck to you. Don't be a stranger here!
