Default Airnet called!!! Now what

I had a phone interview tonite with airnet!! After the conversation was over he told me that he wanted to write my name down because his computer crashed or something. He did not invite me out for an interview though, should i worry about this???!!? Has anyone else had to wait after the phone interview for a call??

Relax, many people have had to wait it out for the call after the interview. If you don't hear from anybody after a couple of days, then give Craig W. a call and politely ask what the status is. I've heard from a reliable source on here it works pretty well.

Start studying now. Aviationinterviews.com is THE interview. They want to see you want to work here. Read up in here about the info on Airnet; and ask away if you have other questions, as there are a few of us on here now.

Feel free to PM me with specifics or to help you, whatever you need to get ready. Again, good luck...we are definitely looking for pilots, but make sure you do your homework on us as we just had that sale fall through, and nobody knows exactly what it means for us. Right now, it's business as usual.

I wouldn't sweat it. I got invited out for an interview during the phone interview. I wouldve went but airnet has some pretty crappy base location possibilities. Hell no Im not moving to Tetoboro. Give them a call.... always a good showing of desire for the job. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure we have more bases than TEB, but good for you, Hootie. Way to get the invite and not go. Shows class.

As far as I'm concerned, that goes for any interview anywhere, if you get invited, either decline if you don't want it or go see what they have to offer. Don't just not go because you think they have "some pretty crappy base location possibilities." Did you not do your research and know where the bases were?

Just curious, and sorry for the rant, not sorry for the comments based on what you posted.

Good luck out there.

Minn_F,

The SIC program never went away. I'm not sure how they select one over the other, but yes, we are still hiring SIC's, for now.

Lighten up there chief. First off I never no-showed the interview. I politely told them that I would not be attending their interview, and I gave them plenty of notice. And actually I would rather live in Teterboro than Detroit, Philly, Pittsburg, New Orleans, or Cincinnati.
For me it was a good decision, take care.

Hootie,

Sorry to jump on you, but the way you made it sound was not like you just described it. Glad to hear everything worked out for you. Yes, we have some cruddy bases, but we also have some decent ones. I think we have props based in 23 cities, or so, so there is definitely a choice of where to live...you might have to wait a little while to get the base you want, but it's definitely a bigger choice than you make it sound like.

Take care,

TX

No harm no foul. Plus I hear there is a $500 allowance given to help with the move, which I think is a nice touch. Fly safe.

Hootie,

Actually, they pay for your move (1 prop move, and 2 jet moves), so yes, they are good about that.

jfleisher,

Congrats, now get to studying. Aviationinterviews.com IS the interview, as I've stated before. Good luck!!

As far as Buffalo, it tends to be an open base more than some of the other bases, especially in the winter (wonder why ).

Good luck to all out there. I'll try to answer the PM's soon, but I haven't been around too many computers lately. Take care all and fly safe.
