Slow page loads and Posts - Page 2

Strange, didn't see any errors on the server end on that time period.

Next time that happens, go over to http://megaproxy.com/freesurf and then type in jetcareers.com and see if it'll produce the same error.

Can anyone else bring up the megaproxy site? I am wondering if it is down or if my hotel is blocking the site.

I don't get any errors, I just get slow page loads.

I always click the "Go to last unread post" button, and quite often I will get a fairly quick initial page load, but it will hang showing the first post on that page, and then take an inordinate amount of time before it moves down to the "first unread" post.

Other times it is just slow loading the page initially. Other times, like now, it is fairly responsive in loading the page and in moving to the desired post.

Still trying to spot a pattern...

Still having slow page loads and posts. I can't seem to figure this out as I have been on 6meg cable connections all the way up to a T1 at work and it seems the sames.

You mods having any luck tracking this down. I don't think it is the DNS as I get the background of the page quick and that is where things seem to stall.

The website is running like a champ for me now, but I've also intermittently experienced the really slow page loads in the past. On the occasions this happens, it will load the header graphic at the top of the page and the flash banner ad and then just seem to stop. For some reason, if I minimize the window and then maximize it again that seems to "kickstart" it into action.

Like SteveC, I also haven't found any discernible pattern to it, and as of this moment, the site is running great for me.

Strange, you've got better stats than I do and my connection is strong like bull.

Second thing I want you to try for me:

1. go to http://www.megaproxy.com/freesurf
2. When the browser pops up, surf to forums.jetcareers.com and tell me if it's rock bottom slow there as well.

Not too bad tonight...I am averaging 10 second page loads. Posting is taking about 20-25 seconds. I will try the mega proxy when it get super slow again and let you know....

I did try the mega proxy right now and it seemed about the same...I did receive the following error when trying to login to JC

I'm having major issues checking my mail. It's slow to load, and just clocks, before eventually timing out!

Then another time I actually get into my mail page, but click on the the PM, and the process occurs must like aforementioned!

Things seem to be generally faster now. I still am getting the occassional 30 second page load though it is happening less often. It also stalls when using mega proxy...
