What are the numbers after a persons handle when you quote them?

The number is the Post Number used by the Database to keep things "organized." The most recent edition of the bulletin board software, vBulletin 3.6.0, uses this number to create a hyperlink to the quoted post. If you click on that arrow that appears to the right of a quoted person's name, you will be taken immediately to the post that was quoted.


If you hover your mouse over that arrow, the navigation bar will give you a preview of the hyperlink, which includes that post number. You'll see the same or similar information by hovering over the post sequence number you see in the upper right hand corner of each post. (The post sequence for THIS post, for example, is #3 - - it's the third in this thread.) You'll also see the link information by hovering over the quote button, or the multiquote button.


By the way, the number is optional. You can delete the semi-colon and the number, and the quote function will work just like it did prior to 3.6.0.

What other site? It's already on ProPilotWorld ...

AirlinePilotCentral does not have it ...

Clear-and-a-million uses freeware ...
