| Ad-Aware http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ You want to click the link for Ad-Aware personal and then look for download options. That will get you Ad-aware SE, which is free. SpyBot http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html Go to downloads and get Spybot Search and Destroy 1.3 (also free) With both make sure you download the current reference files before running a scan. |

| I'm posting this here also, in case on one pays any mind to it in the lav. My gf's laptop uses IE , we have this problem that I can't seem to get rid of: She can only open one browser at a time. I've checked the settings in internet options, tried going to File:new page, scanning with adaware and Mcafee, and nothing fixes it! The only thing left for me to do is run McAfee scanning and Ad-aware in safe mode but I'm doubtful. do any of you know of this? She needs to have like three pages open at a time because she trades options on the stock market so she's constantly looking at graphs and reading news etc.... Will I have this problem if I change to Firefox, and will I still be able to view all sorts of graphs? ![]() |

| Old Skool | Firefox should solve the problem. Once you discover tabbed browsing, everything else seems silly. You can have multiple tabs open in one browser, whereas with IE you have to open a new window everytime. I think my record was something like 23 tabs in one session. \ |

THanks [/ QUOTE ] I use Spysweeper by Webroot, you can buy it at Bestbuy, by far the best one I've used. It just runs a scan on all the files on your computer and then deletes all of the junk it finds. |

| Microsoft makes one now, although it is beta is picks up things that adaware and spybot do not. |

| Old Skool | Not sure if I would trust a Micro$oft spyware. Might not detect ALL the spyware, just the stuff that ISN'T Microsoft.... \ |
