I know that the current standz graduated today. It was like a smurf convention down at the flightline. I heard that FSI is expecting a large enrollment in the next few months due to colleges and high schools graduating so I think that the outlook is pretty good for those on the waitlist.

I know there will be another class end of July or early August. I am not sure if there will be one between now and then. We had around 25-30 instructors get hired and leave since the first of the year. I know we still have around 10 that are really close on hours to get their resumes out. I believe that some resumes are out already. If these ten instructors leave soon + the high expected enrollment for September, FSA will be short instructors. Hope that helps...ILS

There's a class of 7 on for June 7th, I believe. The Garmin 1000 program is also rumored to start sometime- taking away some more instructors to Kansas for a couple months.

They are sending cfi's to Kansas because FSI signed a deal with Cessna. Cessna wants the CFI's to teach all of the buyers of their new glass cockpit how to use the garmin 1000. They are not buying glass cockpits to train students in that environment. I heard it is a good deal for the CFI's. $1000 for moving expenses, $500 per month plus 8 hours of paid work per day. Not bad but not the kind of time building they are looking for.
