| What is the typical split between multi and single engine time? |
| |
| | #7 |
| Senior Member | Depends how long you dont have your MEI for ![]() But once you start teaching Multi you primarily stick with multi, unless you are on a contract and start the people single engine, then transition them into the multi. But alot of people leave with either 800/400 or 600/300 |

| I've known some to leave with more multi than single time. During a normal 800 hour contract time frame. |

| Senior Member | Anyone have any information on getting a CFI job at FSA? Bennies? Pay? Requirements? Is Vero Beach the only place where FSA employs CFIs? |

| So you can work as little or as much as you want? You can make your own schedules? That seems ideal for someone in college. Would it be ok to take a few weeks off a year? |

| Senior Member | Pretty much, however, most CFIs work a good bit. I make my own schedule but I try to work as much as possible. Keep in mind you are signing a DUAL given contract when you get hired, so if you only work 3 hrs a day itll take a good 2 years for you to finish it. On the other side, if you dont mind the contract go ahead. FSA does have good bennies and you get 2 weeks of vacation a yr. Call em and ask. |

| I don't know which FSA you're working for, but I only get 5 days of vacation a year. |
