Default ATP Rated CFI\'s.

Hey Pilots,

ACA recently started to hire some high time CFI's out out FSA. I'm wondering how many where ATP rated, and is this a requirement just to be competitive.?

With some regionals, to start out, it seems like you need to have all your instructor ratings, min of a 1000 + hours TT and be ATP rated. As far hiring requirements are concerned, is an exception being made, due to the state of the industry.? I know this a broad question, but what's the word around campus.?

Best Regards,

I'd say that ATP rated Ips were in the minority of those hired. Probably on the order of 10% or less.
