| Junior Member | I'm in the very early stages of looking for an academy and one thing on my mind is the convenience. One attractive aspect about ATP is the fact that a lot of locations are serviced by majors. I can fly in and out of jacksonville (if thats where i decide) to check out the school, visit my family etc. How difficult is it to get in and out of Vero? The only thing I can think of is to fly into palm beach and get a ride. If i want to come tour the school, will FSA arrange for transportation? Is there bus service or anything? Thanks for your help. oh and ps, i dont mean to strike up an ATP vs FSA discussion, It's just one of many factors i'm considering.

| No, FSA will not arrange for transportation; and to my knowledge, there are no bus services. My advice is to fly into Melborne, rent a car, and make the 40 minute drive to Vero. That's what I did, and it worked out just fine. |

| Senior Member | I takes me about 50 minutes to drive from PBI (WEST PALM BEACH) to Vero. It takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to get to Vero from Orlando. |

When i came for a tour i flew into MCO, and rented a car at the that time I was visiting more than one school along the coast so it was convenient. When i decided to come to Vero, I took a greyhound from downtown FLL. | |

| Senior Member | There is nothing really wrong with vero. I don't see why everyone hates it so much. Its NOT NY. ITS NOT CHICAGO. ITS NOT A MAJOR CITY!! Don't expect it to be. Alot of people for some reason have never lived anywhere other than a happenening place, and then they come to vero which is more toned down. Its a old people place near the ocean, that's about it. |

| Junior Member | Thank you all for the replies (as off topic as some may be). Follow up question: It's pretty easy to have a car down there isnt it? I have no problem selling all of my personal belongings...except the car...the car stays.

| As long as it doesn't float away with the next hurricane, sure. But in all honesty, yea- no different than anywhere else... |

| I like vero myself. It has everything you need to get through flight school, if you plan to study and get your money's worth that is. Close to the beach, the mall, walmart, etc. I live here in the housing on campus at flight safety and couldnt enjoy it more for the purpose I am here for. I didnt come down here to spend all this money on training just to party and blow my chances of getting through it with the best grades possible and the least amount of money spent possible. I am glad this is not a party town or area myself, but hey that is just me. I have already seen several examples of people partying, drinking etc and pissing their money down the drain and flunking tests etc. Thats just not worth it. So vero beach couldnt be a better set up, but even though this isn't party central, and it is a bit toned down, you still have to come down here with some discipline and study. My advice, study and party a year from now when your done! Working so far for me. I study a lot, workout, and run. So far my test scores range from 98-100~! Flight Safety is the best darn school I could have ever imagined. Very professional, friendly, and well laid out and structured program. I would reccommend it to anyone who has the cash and wants to do all their training straight through in one shot. |

| Hi, Could you tell me more about the dorms? I could see 3 bedroom, 1 bath and kitchen accomodation on the sketch. Is there anything with 2 bedrooms 1 bath and kitchen ie. on campus? Is there a cafeteria or snack bar that runs beyond 2pm? Anything in the evening from where you can grab some snacks? Are there restaurants that are walking distance from the housing on campus? Also, are Saturday and Sunday working days too? Could you fly on a Sunday if you wanted to ie. with an instructor? Sid. |

| There is a restaurant on the airfield that is within walking distance. A gas station too. Saturday and Sunday the flight line is open. |
