The shirts are about 18 bucks, and the pants are like 30 ish. I just bought a new shirt/pants and it cost me 60 bucks. That's what you get for losing 50 pounds. lol

The uniform shop is ok, but I was not real happy with the quality of the shirts. I would order Van Heusen shirts from www.crewgear.com. I have heard the 'store brand' from crew gear is good too, but I only currently have shirts from Sporty's and Van Heusen. The Sporty's shirts were good quality, but are a little strange.

Hi there, I'm a student at FSA and I wasn't very happy with the uniform shop either. I had to wait forever to get my pants and I ended up going to K-Mart and buying pants exactly like the ones you get from the uniform shop for half the price. |

I didn't buy their pants either. I am allergic to wool, so I just bought some that looked similar.

Do the pilot pants need to have a plead? Instructor ones?

You all do mean a "pleat"..right?? ![]() as far as what they want....they want a pant that fits well, looks professional, and doesn't lose it's color. Wool works very well, but it's expensive and very hard to take care of. When I was instructor there, I wore microfiber (100% polyester) pants. They were pleated and cuffed, kept their color, and wrinkle free...no complaints. I'm sure if you find those in the "student gray", you won't have a problem. As for the shirts, I found the uniform store's shirts just fine. You'll find them for the same price at all the other places, and they're all about the same quality....18 bucks for a shirt is a decent price. I'm finding that if you wear them regularly, they're not going to last regardless of the price. One set will last you about a year...maybe a year and half.......should be enough for a student. To answer the question though.......you'll find that the prices are actually pretty good from the uniform shop.......It's not a fashion contest. Just take whatever they supply.....it'll last long enough to get you through training for at least as cheap as everywhere else. Trying to find good quality stuff will only render you an empty wallet and torn up clothes.... |

oh ya, the uniform shop gives you a choice of pleated or not (at least when I was there)

WhiskeyDelta, why do you want to buy both student and instructor uniforms?
