Default hurricane ernesto evac

In about 4 hours I'm flying a cadet into Lakeland with about 40 other people. If all goes as planned, they'll be evacuating all the planes to Lakeland, and the Seminoles to Dothan.

We'll know for sure when we meet in the morning, but the way the forcasts are looking, it will probably be a go.

I plan on taking a lot of pictures, expect to see some here

Well. Haha.

I was supposed to be at the hanger ready to go at 6:30. I didn't wake up untill 9:00. Oops.

They did take most of the VFR cadets to Lakeland, but have decided not to evac the rest of the fleet. We were ready to take the IFR cadets to Lakeland, and the Arrows/Seminols to Dothan, but they decided not to at the last minute.

So as it stands now, most of the fleet is staying on the ramp. I guess if it strenthens again they might rethink it, but I'm not sure.

ahh yes...Stray Catz........dildos, blond wigs and large bra's galore.........fond memories.

I've never seen a bar get hijacked so quick in my life. It's scary when a group of drunk, bored, and irritated pilots can clear out a bar full of locals (in Southern Alabama) in a matter of minutes...

Maybe next season when I'm finally a blue shirt, I'll get to check it out.

Now this storm isn't even worth thinking about, it's a big rain cloud as far as I'm concerned. Yet we have groundschools cancelled, the airport is 'closed' apparently. Blah, hurricanes/tropical storms really slow down flight training!

Throw a semi-hurricane party...take some time off.....all work and no play'll kill ya faster than a gun......You'll have plenty of time to work hard in life....
