Hi guys, Well i'm *finally* wrapping up the last few hours of step two ...wheew.. that was a lot of cross countries lol. Just wondering if you guys who have gone before me have any tips for me concerning the stage check ride? I believe I have all my maneuvers down (not perfect, but within PTS) and I'm working hard to ensure I use my checklist at all times (although my "memorized" version of the lineup check always seems to exclude turning on the transponder :P - so I've gotta work on that) Anyways, feel free to offer any advice you may have concerning this particular stage check or stage checks in general ![]() Thanks! |

Do everything you were trained to do, show up early with all your preflight paperwork done, and don't crash....that's all I have....

| It's pretty easy. No oral and it's just a stage check, not a checkride. As long as you can do all the maneuvers you should be fine. |

Don't stress too much over the Stage II. Brush up on all your procedures, remember to use your checklists and don't scare the check pilot! Works like a charm.

| Boy, I couldn't resist responding to this. FSI had conscientious student's, as well as those whose primary objective was to have a good time first, while training was secondary, or "if I feel like flying I will, If I don't no sweat." Just because your doing your flight training at FSI doesn't automatically guarantee your going to land your dream airline pilot job. To succeed in your checkride's, and in your career period. You must apply yourself, study, study and study some more. They'll be plenty of time for having a good time. |

Step two stage check is really relaxed. Don't stress it, and just be the PIC. | |
