Default Christmas time at FSA

Hiya all, haven’t posted for a while...

A quick question, I'm hopefully starting at FSA in November, being an overseas bod, what happens at Christmas time at FSA?
I presume the academy closes for a period of time, what happens to the students?

So many questions I have to ask!

If I remember correctly, they'll close all day for christmas day, new years, thanksgiving; close early (5pm) on the "eves". If you want to fly, you can fly...they will find another instructor to continue with you if your assigned instructor is off sipping egg nog, etc.

Best of luck.

Thanks for the posts guys! Better take a good book and some DVD's for Christmas then!!!

By the way do the rooms at FSA have internet access, if I was to bring my own laptop? Or are the facilities in the library more than adequate?

there's a phone jack, but phone service not included. You can hook your laptop to the net in the libary or use the provided desktop computers. Only down side is you have to go through the corporate firewall which blocks out most non aviation related sites, hotmail works though.

Not sure how the foreign contracts are going, but if the RWL guys or the Swiss/Austrian guys are in town, they stay over the holidays and party pretty hard on the weekends......something to do besides going crosseyed on the internet....
