Hi, could someone tell me the email address to contact fsa? I've sent two mails to academy@flightsafety.com and until now, no one answered. I want to go there to make my CPL, but I know notting about what I have to do for that. I'm from outside the US, I have to ask for a visa etc..., but I think it should be somone from flightsafety to tell me what and where do I have to go exactly? ex. where do I get my visa? Is it in the Embassy of the US in my country? about toefl..? I'm quite disapointed with fsa cause i've contacted other flightschools also and every school replyed, except this one. So, who should I contact and how? Thank You |

Try calling 1-800-800-1411 if you are able. I don't know why they wouldn't respond to your emails, you have the correct e-mail address.

It's kinda weird, such a big school losing clients cause there's no one to answer the emails..I guess fsa is not that good. Which school is the biggest competitor of fsa? I guess I know where i should go... |

Irony -The use of words to express something different from and often opposite to their literal meaning. -An expression or utterance marked by a deliberate contrast between apparent and intended meaning. -A literary style employing such contrasts for humorous or rhetorical effect. See synonyms at wit1. Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs: “Hyde noted the irony of Ireland's copying the nation she most hated” (Richard Kain). An occurrence, result, or circumstance notable for such incongruity. See Usage Note at ironic. Dramatic irony. Socratic irony. Irony - figure of speech in which what is stated is not what is meant. The user of irony assumes that his reader or listener understands the concealed meaning of his statement. Perhaps the simplest form of irony is rhetorical irony, when, for effect, a speaker says the direct opposite of what she means. Thus, in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, when Mark Antony refers in his funeral oration to Brutus and his fellow assassins as “honorable men” he is really saying that they are totally dishonorable and not to be trusted. Dramatic irony occurs in a play when the audience knows facts of which the characters in the play are ignorant. The most sustained example of dramatic irony is undoubtedly Sophocles' Oedipus Rex, in which Oedipus searches to find the murderer of the former king of Thebes, only to discover that it is himself, a fact the audience has known all along. The website guru here created a special tag ( ) as a result of many misunderstandings of sarcasm and ironic statements.[ QUOTE ] If this is not enough for u try answers.com. [ QUOTE ] So, I call this number and say what? You've got mail? ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Let me hold you hand here. Lets see first, pick up your telephone and using the number pad, select 1, then 8, then 0, then 0, then 8 again, then 2 zeros, are you still with me? Here comes the big part, select 1 then 4, then two more 1's. Whew, good job so far. Okay, now put the phone up to your ear, make sure you put the speaker part (where the noise comes from) up to your ear. Dont be afraid, you might hear a couple of rings. When the nice person from marketing answers, say some words, remember a group of words forms sentences, which in turn creates a conversation. I recommend you practice this little script I have prepared for you prior to calling as you seem to need some help. Ring..Ring... "FlightSAfety Academy, how may I help you"? you- " Hi I am from another country and since I need help learing to dial a phone, I am sure that I am equally competent in sending two emails that mysteriously never were replied to. Since I am really smart and am sure that the emails were recieved, I thought I would follow up with a phone call." "Okay, how can I assist you today"? you-" Like I said earlier I am really smart and not at all condescending and would like information on getting my pilot ratings at your school even though I am really smart and know how to make a phone call to a school to request information." "Okay we will be happy to assist you....." Do you see how easy that was. It is a little disconcerting that you require such assistance with such a menial task, it doesnt reflect positively on your ability to multi task as a pilot. Good luck! |

I never had any of those... (Higbie, sorry I called you at 6:30 AM your time today. I thought your number was one of my student's numbers. At least, I did until your voicemail said "David Higbie." Oops.) G |

Ok guys enough of I read what I wrote and I know it sound quite stupid. Well.. I was pissed off with the situation, the other schools were replying but this was not and everybody in aviation that I spoke with, ex student's, pilots.. told me that I should go to this flightschool cause it's a good place to begin... and since i'm from far away i'm not going there to play pilot and this is an important decision, and this decision was becoming ever harder with this situation. Well, this tread is useless, see ya. |

I think those replies are absolutely excellent!! If a guy can't figure out how to obtain some basic information, no-matter where he's from, for the love of God keep him out of the cockpit!!!! Honestly, he's going to be one of those students who you have to spoon feed everything to... If you'r going to spend $50,000+US to come over here to train, drop a couple bills on the call. T A wise man once told me: You can get better training than Flight Safety.. But you can't pay more... |

I can see your complaint.... Just remember, the phone will get you answers a heck of lot faster. When you call 1800-800-1411, ask for Jackie. She is the marketing manager. She is really nice and will spend as much time with you on the phone as you need. If you want I am sure she will call you back to save you a few dimes. BTW....she is probably your best contact if you are coming from outside the U.S. because of visa info etc.... ILS |
