The Patio, Kelley's Irish Pub, The Riverside Cafe, Lennie's Liberty Lounge (extreme dive bar), Captain Hirams (if you can get a ride to sebastian)..and if you want to eat, Ay Jalisco has good mexican food...Siam Orchid has good sushi and thai food.....hope it helps ![]() Oh ya, and if you get bored of the local entertainment, go on some observation flights.....the more you do, the more it'll help...just look at the schedule and pick flights that match your stage of training (look for VC aircraft if you're starting from scratch) |

The mall (Indian River I think) as you head out to the highway has a good movie theater. That place kept me alive while I was stuck in Florida.

wow, why show up TEN days early? Maybe you can get the books and read ahead. and gemini flights are a good idea, but I don't know how that will work unless you got a uniform already.

movies....we don't need no stinkin' movies.. If you go to the theater, just make sure you don't go to TGI Friday's before the movies unless you have more discipline than me....not once did I make it to the movie I intended to go to if I stopped there first.... |

[/ QUOTE ] Had to be in Orlando for work, so yea. I have found a few things to do, went to the beach today. Finally got some internet access in my dorm room, that's a life saver. |

[ QUOTE ] is that wireless internet up and running yet? [/ QUOTE ] No. I talked to the IT manager here, forgot his name, but he said the dorms aren't suitable for wireless. He wants to put a wire to every room, but that will cost lots of money. I'm sharing Comcast currently. |

[ QUOTE ] are they made of brick? that might be why... [/ QUOTE ] that's actually, exactly why. The dorms are built to a certain hurricane standard, and thus wireless really isn't an option here. |
