Percentage of Outside CFIs?

Does anyone have any idea what percentage, if any of the CFIs did their ratings elsewhere? Do they ever hire people who got their ratings under part 61? thanks

I don't have an exact percentage for you. Right now the only way to be hired at FSI is to complete your CFI at FSI. They will interview anyone who has a multi-commercial and completed the entire FSI CFI course. So, you can do all your training at the local FBO, do your CFI at FSI, and get an interview. Times change though. I was hired a little over a year ago and did ALL my training elsewhere. My new hire class had 4 of 20 from the outside.
