Default CPL-SE rating

In looking at the FSI syllabus I notice the CPL-SE add-on rating is part 61, and costs $2250 taking 7.5 hours.

Is all that time really necessary? And do I have to do the rating at FSI?

Default Re: CPL-SE rating

The hour amount is varies. They have a suggested syallbus for the commercial single add on, but once proficiency is demonstrated an instructor can give you the sign off the take the ride. I know when i did it, I flew with my instructor for about 5 hours and he signed me up after that.
If you shop around you might save a little cash, I don't think anybody cares where you get the rating.
