Well SnowMan, I am glad you had a good time training at FSA. It is a great school and I know you were trained well. I know it must be a little discouraging not being hired on as an instructor but....... it is their loss. I studied with you when I was there and I know you know your stuff. Unfortunatley, I believe you have entered a world of politics and that your posts on this site had something to do with it. From what I understand FSA is looking for many instructors right now and I think you should have been one of them. I remember when FSA was hurting for instructors so bad that they would take anyone that had a heartbeat. Alot of those instructors should not have made it through stands. You have done exceptionally well through the program. I know many others that did very well and did not get hired even though they were MORE than willing to wait on the 100++ "wait" list for the call back. Once again...Politics. The list was too long to keep adding to it. With a list of 200+ waiting to instruct, who would come to the school for training right? So why waste the students time interviewing them if you are going to take 1 out of 10? Let me give you an example of FSA politics..... My neighbor had over thirty yellow sheets (unsatisfactory lessons that had to be done over) during "HER" CIME program. She was hired as an instructor at FSA. Snow, you would have kicked her a$$ all over the field and air but........ you did not get hired and she did. Wonder why???????? Don't get me wrong, I love FSA for the training they provided me and everyone who attends, but I believe you should be judged on your pass rate on all of your ratings for a CFI position. not the a$$ you kissed........ or the lame 15 minute presentation that is nothing close to how you would interact with your student. PEOPLE PLEASE.... do not respond to my post with an argument. Those of you who know me know I have alway's spoke of FSA in a very positive way. He!!, I have even sent 8 students there that were going to attend other schools until I spoke with them (Snow is one of them). I just can't stand the political bull##### that unfortunatley goes on in all companies. FSA is still the best flight training school out there and always will be..... Good luck Snow. ILS |

Yeah, don't sweat it, Snow. I was rejected not once, but twice. The second time they didn't even give me a reason nor return my phone calls. Best thing that ever happened to me.
