| who want to study in the beautiful USA the ATP Career.I have been looking for several schools already, I think I would go for Florida or California but generally I don't mind whereabouts, what is more important for me is the price and the quality of the course. I have been looking at the Delta Connection Academy, but I read about the horrible prices the give you for the atp. Then there is the American Flyers and the American School of Aviation which I have been considering as well. I think the last one mentioned is the one for me. Do you have any experience. Look I need the license plus the JAR-FCL Conversion and not all of the schools offer this program. If you have any other recommendation of schools, any ideas or experiences you would share with me I would appreciate it a lot! Thank you and have a nice one Matt |

| From which country are you from? Check out skymates! www.skymates.com We will offer JAA flight training very soon. You can actually start the training whenever you want. The training is very affordable and we have lots of airplanes. Now in Skymates there are around 8 italians, 2 french (me included), 2 germans... lot of Europeans... At the end of the course you will have both JAA and FAA licenses Hope this helps! |

| Matt, I don't know if you have heard of North American Institute of Aviation or not but there are a lot of european students there. It's located in Conway, S.C. The program is JAA-FAA and lasts about 6-9 months. Not a big school like most but they seem pretty good. I went there about four years ago. I'm not european but at the time I was the only american student there. If you want any info just PM me.

| As far as I know, and I am often wrong, there is only one place in the States where you can sit your JAA ATPL writtens and that is in Naples, Florida. I also believe that you have to undertake an approved Ground School course, either study at home or in class room, have a look at http://www.bristol.gs/ they are supposed to be very good. A lot of the US schools that offer JAA training either require you to get your writtens out of the way before you come out to train, or make you go back to JAAland for an intensive two week residential course and then sit the 14 exams. You will also need to do your JAA CPL MEIR back in Europe, so you probably want to add $15,000 to the cost of the US based training. |
