Default Good schools in PNW

All,

will be retiring from military in about 5-7 months and looking to get back into flying - looking for recommedations for flight schools in pacific northwest - looking primarily in Seattle, Portland, Bend areas.

Having been out of any cockpit for 8 yrs and civilian side for 18 - i will obviously be requiring a loonngggg BFR just to learn how to taxi and T/O and land again. I am looking at adding CSEL and CFI/II MEI ratings to my tickets and probably looking to try and get a job at the outfit I train at ... 141 a plus as i can offset some costs with VA benefits, but not a must - have done some prelim searches and requests - Hilsboro aviation, Precision Aviation, Professional air - oregon ... Galvin and snohomish flying service in seattle area .... info on the above or others to consider would be greatly appreciated ...

thanks for your assistance

The two I know are Galvin and Snohomish.

I used to do my training at Galvin before 9/11 happened. They are a really nice FBO but they are so expensive!

Snohomish is more of a Mom and Pop type place and their prices are a little lower but they are still expensive.

I would suggest both of them if money isn't a concern they do have quality instruction. There are some other cheaper options like Accu-Wings in Renton.

Matt777 was at Galvin's as a CFI, last I heard. He hardly ever posts, though. You might try PMing him.
