I did my instrument rating there. They have a whole bunch of nice C-172SP's, a C-152, a Duchess, and a C-172RG. A couple of the SP's have G-1000's. For private or instrument was great because the 172SP's didn't seem to go down for MX very much, and even if they did there were plenty of others to replace them. The SP's had a KLN94GPS, MFD, 2 axis autopilot and traffic. I decided to do my commercial elsewhere so I can't speak from first hand experience, but the 172RG's seemed to constantly be down for MX. This is obviously a problem if you're doing your commercial single, which is why I left. I've heard that they recently got an Arrow for complex training, but it's not on their website so I dunno. They also only had one twin, so I don't know how that works scheduling-wise. Most of the instructors are ERAU students or grads. Like most places, the quality of training depends on the instructor you get. Mine was very good, so I was happy. Hope that helps! |
