Default Instructor Pay and hours

How much do instructors get paid and how many hours do they typically get a month? Are they started out slow, and then given more students as they gain experience? Who teaches ground school and how much does that pay? Thanks for any information.

Default Re: Instructor Pay and hours

Well, let an Instructor who works there tell you.. Instructors make $10 per flight hour. All ground instruction is free. There is a 141 instrument ground school that will pay $10 an hour as well.( Usually 40-50 hrs) . As for flight time and students, every new instructor that comes online gets at least two new students right away. It seems like the veteran guys get screwed like myself. Right now I'm averaging 40 hrs a month. ($400). The bonus is MULTI TIME! I have 600 tt and 400 multi.
