I have been looking at this school and I am planning on going to visit them tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. Thanks

If it's the same Dutch Wings in Houston, I know that they are looking for a CFI. Their classified on aopa (I think) says they have some part-time instructors. Beyond that, I know of nothing. I've thought about sending them a resume, but haven't as of yet. Are you looking to be a student or possibly get hired? |

I did my instrument there in September, and since they have grown. They now have a Seneca I and II... the I is for training, prices are on their site. Single-enginewise, they have an IFR 152 (nice for the wallet in instrument training), 3 172s (150 and 180hp), an Archer, and an Arrow. The only drawback is that their fuel surcharge is quite steep, and the owner does not seem to know that it doesn't compare to the other schools around Houston. He does make up for this with the rental prices of the planes. The planes are very well kept and the maintenence is 2nd to none. I live in Galveston and am willing to make the drive to this school rather than D&N or anything at Ellington, Hobby, or La Porte. I have been trying to get them to advertise on JC because 1170 for commercial single-engine, and 1850 for multi is unmatched/unheard of for the Houston area. They have career packages as well, but they are hidden on the website for some reason. They also do some training for the ATP pilot programs as well. |
