The GI bill provides veterans with 60% of the listed price for part 141 flight training except for private pilot certification. Compare Aviator's VA pro course with the Pro pilot Program: Both offer the same certificates and ratings. VA Pro Course: $18,498 (You pay) + the other 60% (VA Pays) = $46,245 Includes 190 Hours Multi and 10-15 single Pro Pilot Course: $35,995 Includes 200 multi and 22 Am I missing something or does Aviator really charge veterans using the GI bill more? Why does there have to be a seperate VA course? |

The VA includes the commercial rating under 141 and so includes a large amount of solo multi-engine time. The standard pro program does the commercial rating part 61 and timebuilding is shared with another pilot as simulated instrument/safety pilot. Last edited by NickH; October 3rd, 2006 at 18:40. |

doing commercial training under part 141 requires 50ish (i dont remember the exact number) hours dual instruction versus 10 for part 61. Theres no splitting time so you have to pay for the whole plane plus instructor. Part 141 commercial is a tad more expensive than 61 for that reason.
