Default Flying at the Aviator

I can tell you with 100% confidence, that the Aviator can and will deliver what they say. I have been a part of the organization for some time now. I took my time because I had to work while I flew. I was able to see how things work from another view point. I don't think that students and most instructors know what go into running a flight school. I can tell you that Mike and TJ have it to a pretty good science. I am leaving to go to Colgan next week. I want everyone to know that I have had a great time and a great run with the Aviator. I have had the pleasure of meeting and working closely with almost every student and instructor in the past two years. It's not always going to be rosey, but like anything in life, embrace and make the best of everything.

Good Luck to Everyone

James

Congratulations James! You've been a rock here, someone who I've been able to ask questions of and get answers and you've been a great deal of help to me while I've been here, right from the day I arrived. It's going to be really sad to see you go as it is with so many, but I'm really thrilled to see you all moving on to the next stage of your careers and lives.

Best of luck to you my friend, stay in touch and don't leave me too much of your work to do when you're gone!

What were your times when you interviewed? How long did you instruct for Ari?

I'd just like to say congratulations to Jessica and James. I know that you've both been here longer than most and that things have often been very tough. Well done for persevering and good luck to you at your respective airlines.

Not yet, I have to wait on Pierre's oral on Tuesday. If all goes well with Pierre, I should be able to take the checkride next Friday, the extreme earliest.

Hey everyone! Things are going great up here at Colgan. The only bad thing is that we only get three days off in 5 weeks. Jon and I are going to MCO for the Sim on July 8th. I think that flying 121 is going to be great. We've been doing classes on icing. Very interesting stuff. Understanding the effects of icing on wing stalls and tail stalls, is pretty cool. The recovery techniques are opposite of each other so determining the type of stall induced by icing is crucial. Learning Hold over times and Types of di-icing and anti-icing is cool also.

Gotta Go. Hope all is well with everyone, and good luck.

James
