i would call them, get the facts, LOOK INTO EVERYTHING, then make ur decsion.

Fact: It is the most widly knowen school for avation in the world.
Fact: it is expensive.
Fact: You can not beat the name or the reputation. (is a future employer going to care about some community college or a technical school, which looks better)
Which school has the most alumni in the right places.

Of course there are many ways to do it and you need to do what is best for you. All that matters is that u get ur ratings and ur degree, course a degree from riddle looks alot better then a degree from florida community college. etc..

So what? It's like being the best soccer player on a team composed of landmine victims.

Uhhhhhhh nobody cares where you got your degree. Embry Riddle has more of a negative connotation, IMO.

"i would call them, get the facts"

You won't get all the facts by calling them, just they one's they want you to hear.

Hey what's up man, my parents are from Sri Lanka too; Columbo and Kandy. I'm pretty much white though, I can't speak Sinhala at all. I went to ERAU PRC last year and I left. You don't need their degree and their "reputation" is a marketing ploy to get you to spend your money at their school.

Why don't you come out to the states, finish your training, and go back and get on with Sri Lankan airlines? If you want the degree apply to a state university out here in CA or anywhere else, get your ratings at an FBO and go from there. You'll save $$ and all the gatherings you go to won't be sausagefests.
