Default VA question

A buddy of mine who is currently deployed wanted me to ask some ??'s on the Ari Ben VA course. Does everything get paid up front? I beleive he has the funds to cover his 40%, however he is unaware if he has to initially put up the portion the VA covers. Can the payment be split. Also, wanted me to ask about the nightlife on the weekends lol

hey Bullmastiff,

I've used VA bennies before for my flight training. How it works is that your friend would have to come up with the 100% portion of the training cost. At the end of the month the school will send the VA a certification letter stating the type of aircraft flown, hours, rates and total cost for that period....Once the VA processes the information they will then send your buddy a check covering the 60% portion. Example lets say his cost for that month is $10,000...VA will then send the $6000 once the paper work is processed. Let him know that being new to the system it may take a month or two before he recieves his first check, after that then he should get his payments between the 3rd and the 6th of every month..also let him know he should sign up for direct deposit to have money deposited directing into a checking account.....Now as for split payments that would have to be something that is personally worked out with him and the flight school. That shoulnt have any bearing on VA payments.

Thanks!! I think he will be ok as long as ari ben doesnt require the whole 30 grand up front, and can instead do it in monthly payments! Thanks for the words

I paid for my training all up front to Mike Cohen and then the VA sent what they owed a month after submitting your monthly verification of flight training. PM me if you have any more questions about the VA

im not extremely familiar with the VA stuff but i do know that they dont require the entire lump sum of money up front as long as you retain a positive balance

No they dont need the whole lump sum, but I just do it to get it out of the way and off the no fly list. Just don't forget to add money on or TJ will be on you like white on rice.
