UPDATE!! I started my PPL training at a school just north of Austin TX about 2 months ago, was excited, pumped up, motivated and ready to go. After flying with 4 different instructors, only one of which I liked (which got a job and was leaving), going up in planes that made me nervous, and a few other reasons, I stopped just as quickly as I started. I was talking to a fellow jetcareer member (thanks UofMCP1201!) and suggested I try out Alliance Flight Academy where he finished up his PPL (I believe he is out at Skymates right now). I came out here and knew after one flight that this was a great place to train. The instructors are awesome, the planes are great, the atmosphere is laidback but still professional. The rental rates are a little more going from old pipers to newer cessnas but to me its well worth the extra money. Another thing I like is flying out of class c airspace. Getting good on the radios and talking to ATC. Most of all I got my motivation and passion back. If anyone is looking for a school to train at in Austin, most definately come check this place out. Again its called Alliance Flight Academy and its based at KAUS. Also I think they are low on instructors. Ill find out for sure though!

Glad to hear things are going better. It was definitely a good place to finish things up. Who is your instructor?
