Is this position really guaranteed? Is this in writing?

Nope. Not guaranteed, and definately not in writing, but it's almost inconceivable why one wouldn't get hired. When I was there, the school hired a Pro Course graduate who had failed his initial Instructor Checkride (MEI) twice, and then after he was instructing for a while, failed his Part 141 instrument certification ride with our Chief Pilot. He was still teaching away when I left! He's only one example but there are others. I know of a couple that didn't get hired, but its because they had "personal issues" with the owner. |

They say "those who can't "teach?" Might that be the case? Even if his own personal flying prowess wasn't up to snuff, how were his instructional skills?
