Well i'll attempt to make a blog and try to keep everybody updated on my Progress here at Ari-Ben. Well i arrived here at Ari-ben on September 12 after over a year of planning and looking at schools..(finally i made it).. I spoke to Cynthia most of the time and she is a really nice person she made the application process go really smooth. After sending in my deposit and everything i made my Flight reservations. and called mike and gave him those and he arranged a pick up for me at Orlando... <fast Forward >Okay i arrive at Orlando my first thoughts man i made it sweet ok after talking the awful long trip trip from the Jetblue gate to baggage claim i met doug and another time builder they both were really cool guys..i felt shy but never uncomftable it was a great but long ride to the school and i felt really anxiouse..Ok cool i get to the school and doug gives me a quick tour of the school and i mean quick its a small school nothing spectacular no fancy million dollor FTD's and planes equiped with all the hightech Nasa stuff...Just how i like it laid back enviroment <fast forwad >Ok so the next day i got assigned my instructor and met James woods <---really great, and funny Guy he treated me and some other guys to lunch..My instructor <aka> stepdad is a really nice guy...and i have fun when training with him.i couldnt ask for a better time. Mike the owner is also really nice guy..just dont destroy his planes or swk planes like if a screw is missing from the engine cowling or somthing ![]() SO the planes there cool just make sure u do ur pre-flight good..their old but ED the mx guy he works his ass off to make sure the planes are up and running so mx is top notch but planes are not state of the Art we train Aviators not Astronaut canidates lol..So if u can fly Aviator planes u can fly anything else... well i gotta go ill continue my Ari-experiance later thanks for reading peace out and happy flying ----To be continued |

What are you guys trying to accomplish after he is already enrolled and training? Sounds like you're just trying to rain on his parade. I hope it makes you guys feel better. |

[/ QUOTE ] In case you haven't read your contract, there is a severe financial penalty that will incur if you violate (leave). The people at the school are what make it good. James, Mary, instructors etc. ... |

I agree there are some great people down there that make the school a great school. It is a friendly environment and now that the building has come along, it is a comfortable environment as well. I just don't understand how current students can poke at these 76's. They are trainers that get flown 24/7. They are, no matter what anyone says, well maintained. Be nice to those planes, they'll be nice to you! Now Jamal comes along, like a kid in the candy store, totally excited to be here and is probably scratching his head saying "Wait until the Duchess??" I look forward to hearing more of Jamal's training experiences. |

Jamal, Congratulations on your start here at Aviator. It really seems like the staff at Aviator are helping out people with limited transportation by using the Pan Am housing on the airport property and helping them get started on the right foot. Don’t worry about the Duchesses. I always like them over the Cessnas any day. A word of advice: Treat this place as you would a full time job. Expect down time when it comes to flying due to weather or aircraft being down. Be flexible do your required ground/studying when you are not flying then fly when available. Budget you fun time as you would working a full time job. You will soon see yourself surpassing many who have been here forever. Good Luck |

yes i understand flights get cancled due to mx weather or wutever..hey thats life im having a blast and this beats flying in NY anyday..once im flyin im happy im in no rush so if my plane is down ill just fly 2marrow or later twice my flights got cancled due to haze and another one of my flights got cancled due to 100hr mx but i'll live...and the people here are nice and friendly..which makes it all well worth it. This is still a really good deal and the training is top-notch i have a really good instructor, and of course each school is going to have its faults..no school is perfect so just remember why u came here in the first place..to get good quality training 200hrs of multi and an instructor position..and take it 1 day at a time..because the aviation buisness is a fustrating thing but u gotta remeber y your here and what u came for... enough rambling happy flying and blue skies |

The 76's really aren't THAT bad. Sure they go down quite a bit, but it seems to come and go in cycles. As hard as we are on those planes I am amazed they are up as much as they are! Good luck with your training! |
