Don't be like me and come down at 19, you're only creating more work...now I have to worry about instructing and going to college full time when I get done. Housing is fine, mismangaged, but fine. The airplanes are old. The program is only as difficult as you make it. If you put in your time, study at night and fly during the day, you should progress quickly. Seriously, re-think starting so early. Flying is great, but give yourself some time to enjoy life. Just trying to help. |

why do u have to instruct and go to College full time..Just quit the instructor Job for a year or 2 and finish your degree a little more information on my situation: I already completed a year of college but decided to take a year off to get all my rating since the degree im going for is Aeronautical Science...and from what i understand you get college credits for ratings and License Held. The reason why im doing this all now is bcause flight lesson move really slow up here in New York..and the rates are also high not to mention i live on Staten Island and it would suck to go too school full time and fly full time the commute is very hard.. based on my current schedule i would only be allowed to fly maybe 2-4 hours a week.. |

Ok, I have completed a year of college as well. I moved down from New York because I couldn't fly as often as I need to. I know the situation you're in. But I'm telling you get that degree done, come down get your training and then instruct. I just don't want anyone to regret the situation like I am.

Embry Riddle gives you 34 credits toward you having your Commercial Multi with Instrument and all Instructor ratings. Thats what Im doing. I also have some credits that are being transfered cause of my military experience (Dont know how much yet, but I do have 24 towards a Criminal Justice major). ivan |

I understand where yah coming from smitty B. If you took out a loan having all this debt before finishing college could be bad..but i dont have a loan..so i dont have to worry about the debt but if im not able to fly my required hours for my degree i fail in the long run ill spend more time and more money...besides 34 credits is about 1 year of college considering u take the Maximum amount of Credits so it's like i never left ill start in september of 06 with about 60+ college credits and if i land an instructor Job i can Instruct from March thru August.. and have tons of time..also flying during vacations with my dad by the time i finish college i should have the minimums for most regional airlines..Thats just a rough layout of my educational plan of course ##### happens and u have to adjust ur plan..but i know ill be alright the only thing that worries me is the planes |

Hi Matt, Instrument is going good, how's traning at Colgan? You need to keep everyone here at Aviator updated. Jamal, I've 100TT/30 multi, so I've got most of the program to go. |

The Fly-In summer special is for Time building. From what I see, you want to go through the Pro Course. It doesnt apply to the pro course.
