Well here is my story about Action Multi Ratings. Since I finished my Commercial ASEL I was looking for a school to do the multi add on. I was seriously looking into All ATPS program in FLL. After comparing the two programs I chose Action primarily because it was considerably cheaper for me. The course itself was only $1475 which included up to 7 hours of training in a Seneca I. If you required additional training it would be provided at no additional cost since it is a guaranteed program. When I first called I spoke to Brian who is the owner. I put a $175 deposit down on the course and in 24 hours I had a fedex package at my door including a Seneca AFM, and a packet of information regarding a pre-training quiz, maneuvers, and multi engine aerodynamics. I had all of the maneuvers memorized before training began and I would recommend that to anyone because theres a lot going on in engine failures, and Vmc demos. I checked in on Tuesday at 8am and went through an oral session with an MEI and another student who was enrolled. This lasted about two hours. All of the instructors there are really cool guys and easy to work with. They realize that you most likely have traveled a distance to train with them and they understand that you are not only there to get a rating but to also learn. We then split up with our instructors and flew for 1.3 in the morning, took a break, and then flew another 1.3 in the afternoon. After just 2.6 hours of training they scheduled both of us for our checkrides the following day at 11am. We then met at the airport again at 8am for another 1.4 to brush up. It doesn't sound like a lot of time and I was concerned myself if I was ready, but they know what the DPE is looking for and if you did your part of learning the maneuvers then they definitely do their part to fine tune you. Come checkride time everything went smoothly and I was done. I would recommend Action to anyone and plan to go back for my MEI training there. Not for anything, but the area Groton, and its neighboring town Mystic Seaport made it into a little vacation also. Its a very beautiful part of the country. Good luck. Any other questions feel free to ask!
