Here is the latest on the Key Bank loan saga... The following is quoted from a letter that was sent out from the CEO to all prospective students. [ QUOTE ] As you may have heard, Key Bank has modified their lending practices to only support Title IV Certified schools effective May 31, 2005. This will indeed affect many flight schools throughout the country. Pan Am is currently unaffected by this decision. Key Bank has agreed to make loans available to Pan Am students at least through September 30, 2005, to allow time for Pan Am to complete the Title IV Certification process. [/ QUOTE ] This is very good news for those considering doing their training at Pan Am!!! |

There's more ways to get high quality training in a professional environment in a short amount of time. Hell, I'm doing it here at Skymates, I just don't wear epaulets. |

[/ QUOTE ] HaHa. I love that post. Key Bank loves you PanAmer's. The more you borrow, the more that lines their pockets. Lima, You're making it sound like because other schools don't have Tennis courts, and beach volleyball courts right next to the ramp that their school is somehow inferior. That is so farfetched...you would be a great Pan Am recruiter, except YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE IT. I'll admit your building is immaculate but did you ever notice that Ari's guys right across the field can pass checkrides too? Uh-oh...this might mean that you don't need to play tennis or look at the 430 to fly an airplane...someone tell the admins over there... ![]() I was talking with a PanAm student in the Tiki just last week, and he said that Ari has had more enrollments in the past 2 months than PanAm has the last year. I wouldn't be surprised if that was true...but it's hard for me to realize how we can get more students without the Tennis Courts?? It's all about money, and it will come back to bite PA. |

Smitty, you really need to learn when to keep you mouth shut, and to know the proper time to pick a fight. I couldn't care less who you have spoken to in the Tiki, nor do I care what opinion you have of Pan Am. The fact is, I am very happy with MY training. I am very happy with the direction the school is going. I am happy with our current leadership. I am excited to know that in about 115 hours, I could interview, and be perhaps be hired into my first 121 job. So, unless you can quote where I have said anything other than that, DO NOT put words in my mouth. |

[ QUOTE ] I think that is great... for you. And around, and around we go... [/ QUOTE ] People just wanna express their own view and be [4 letter expletive] about other point of views. Some like Pan Am some don't, all in all so what. No one is saying "Hey [insert name here] finance this for me". They are spending there own money. This is like arguing over PFJ, it just goes round and round like you said. At least we find an issue poisoning the industry talking about PFJ. It's not just "my opinion is better than yours", etc. It's like locker room talk, those with the same opinion complement each other on the size of his ****!!!!! Lima Charlie is one cool cat and wouldn't be defending a schmuck of a school, no matter how much it costs. |

How much is Keybank giving out now, are they still doing the 100,000 dollar loans? |

I have spent too much time on the East coast, so if I can avoid living out there, I will. Alot will depend on the options that are available when the time comes. |

For the record, I am at 385 w/ 89 multi... I should have over 100 multi, but decided to fly a shorter "route program" and build the time as an MEI rather than pay for it on the front end.

You need time off, you get it. You need to slow down, you can. They just make sure that you realize that it will only delay your progess, most likely cost more in the long run. Losing momentum can be pretty expensive. |

The current people seem very interested in everyone's success, and being able to deliver on what they promise. |
