I just completed several courses at Ari Ben Aviatior last week. I flew 304 hours in 87 days and completed 5 checkrides (PRIVATE ASEL, PRIVATE AMEL, COMM AMEL, INST AMEL, ATP AMEL) A whole lot of studying! I arrived at the school with 4500 hours of helicopter (COMM/INST) after retiring from the military. I did 32 hours in the 172 to get my PRIVATE ASEL and then the 65 hour "VA Advanced Transition course for Helicopter Pilots" for AMEL. I had an excellent instructor (Thanks Fernando) and we flew 4 to 6 hours a day. I then flew 190 hours of timebuilding to get my ATP AMEL. In all those days of flying, I only had to CXL once for maintenance and once for WX. I drove and checked out flight schools all over the US before I made the final decision of Ari Ben Aviator, and it was a damn good choice. I would like to say thanks to Mike Cohen, Peggy, Ari, T.J., Pierre and James at the school for the professional way everything was handled. Like I said "Best Bang for the Buck!" |

I got back to Texas last Sunday. I am catching up on the honey-do-list and redoing the resume. I will figure it out from there.
