I am here to help with anyone that has any questions about the VA pro course at Ari-Ben Aviator. I went through this program and LOVED it. I got to fly to Louisiana to meet my dad for the first time in my life. Great experience, to fly SOLO. Do you have VA benefits? Are you interested in flying a multi-engine aircraft SOLO for 55 hours? The VA pays 60% for training done under Part141. Ask me any questions you might have. Thank you, Ivan |

The VA will reimburse you 60% of the cost of training done under 141 up to a specified number of hours as well as reimburse you for the full cost of certain licensing and certification tests (including checkrides) up to the monetary amount of benefits you have remaining. So, to answer your question more directly, yes, you will still get 60% of your costs back until you use up the monetary equivalent of 8 months of benefits which, I believe, would be about 8 grand right now. Hope that helps. |

The VA pro course is for military people who are qualified for it. The government gives back 60% of the total flight and ground fees, + checkrides, + writtens. |

GatorFC is right, you will still get 60% of the flight and ground fees back, up to the remainder of what you have on your VA account. You will get it back AFTER you have completed the flight training. i.e. Each month the chief flight instructor will fill out a form that will have all your ground and flight training you have completed. He will then send it to the VA office. Then you will get your check between 2-3 weeks. |

It all depends on how flooded the VA office is. It also depends on if you have any debts you owe them, or discrepincies in your paper work being submitted. Ivan |

Does anyone know if the military has added an extension to the 10 years after ETS time limit for the GI Bill? I got out in 1994, used some of my benefits for University but not all. Am I SOL now that it's been over 10 years?

Not that I'm aware of. When I started here last January my 10 years had just expired. I contacted the VA regarding bennies and they said "I still have funds available"......then the bad news came "OH, it seems your 10 years just expired a couple months ago.....so you're SOL" ![]() Maybe it's changed this past year but I doubt it. |
