Hi, I am taking a tour of Pan-Am (FL location) on 7 March. Does anyone else here on JC have similar plans? |

If you have the time, make sure you talk to some of the students. Most people SAY they are going to do it, but most usually don't. Are you leaning more toward a Florida school, or are you considering any AZ locations? LC |

good suggestion LC! and with that, i'd also suggest if you can, talk to a student that's in each phase of training so they can give you an opinion of how that particular section of training is going...might be too much, i know.. but it never hurts to talk to as many as possible.

Hey LC, I have the whole day for Pan-Am, and even if the tour is only 1-2 hours I will certainly hang around a little longer and talk to people, as long as the school doesn't mind... The day after, I am at Ari-Ben (next door) so if necessary, I can always come back if I have any more questions. The main reason I'm visiting FL is because there are many schools there and I'm doing the grand tour (I'm flying in from across the atlantic to visit the schools). I certainly do not rule out AZ One more thing - did you mean Jim Leathers? |

[/ QUOTE ] Honestly, if ANY school (PanAm or not) doesn't want you hanging around talking to their students, then they don't deserve your money. I'd talk to students even if the school said they DIDN'T want me to. Actually, that's a lie. If they school said they didn't want me to hang around and talk to students, I'd just leave and never look back. I like Kristie's suggestion of talking to students in different phases of training. |

[/ QUOTE ] Oh no.. the school certainly doesn't mind. They in fact encourage it. The problem is that most don't take advantage of the opportunity. I would also suggest that you make up a list of question that you want to ask the students. Here are some that I can think of, that I asked... 1. What made you decide on XYZ school? 2. How do you feel about your experience so far? 3. What do you like? Dislike? 4. How do feel about the instruction you have received? 5. Are you on time, on budget? Over time, over budget? 6. Maintenence delays? Alot or a few? 7. Wx delays? 8. If you had to choose again, would you choose XYZ school? Hope this helps... |
