Well, I finally got my third bar!! It is a great feeling when you are clear of the active after the last landing and the DE says lets got get your paper work done and make you a CFI!!!! He definetely had a few suggestions to make me a better instructor, but also said that my first few students would iron out any issues that I might have. Good Times!! So CFII starts this afternoon. Hopefully I should be able to get through my CFII and MEI done by this time next month!

Congrats!!! Thanks for your helpful advice on Pan Am DVT. Believe it or not... I enrolled yesterday, and will be starting STANZ training next Monday (9/20) . I'm looking forward to meeting you on campus. And, hey... maybe you'll be my instructor . Thanks again, Dan

How long did my CFI take, or how long did it take to get through all the training up until my CFI? It took me about 3 months to get my CFI done. I will admit... I didn't work very hard on it for the nearly the whole months of June and July. Looking back it could realistically be done in 2 months. I am expecting to have both my II and MEI done by the middle of October.
