Labor day... Gets weekends off.

Just a random thought for this labor day weekend. I was thinking about flying tommorow and even getting kinda excited. Then I realized that tommorow is labor day, instead of a nice quiet Monday, and the pattern at my local airport will look like flys doing touch-n-gos on a pile of dog poo.
I work in a restauraunt and I have to say that I hate weekends. Not just because I have to work either. I really hope that I work weekends for the rest of my life. Crowds, traffic, lines, angry tourists, noise, parking, .... who needs that. I love monday mornings. I guess Im just wondering why anyone would want weekends off, if given an opportunity, such as a "jetcareer", to work through the weekends. I understand the occasional family event or wedding but thats a couple sick days a year.
Well happy labor day. I cant wait for Tuesday morning.

I'm the same way.

I hate being out and about with the masses. I avoid Target and the malls on the weekends, and instead favor a nice quiet Tuesday or Wednesday at 10am when they open.

I never minded working weekends. Working holidays sucked sometimes, but the weekends I gladly worked.

It's so much easier to get things done with a day off during the week.

If I had a significant other, it would be nice to have the same days off. But hopefully those days would be weekdays.

I did get to fly this evening. It turned out to be the least congested it's been for a while - wierd. Anyway I still feel the same, guess I've just gone SoCal Summer crazy. Good thing its pretty much over

People wonder how I wind up with 16-17 days off in a month. It's simple. I don't want Sat or Sun off. I'll gladly trade weekends off (since I hate that anyway) for more total days off any day.
