| We’re pregnant! Or not? OK, we have a lot of moms and dads on the board, I was just wondering something.
When you and your other half were expecting, did you say that “I’m Pregnant (for you gals)” or “My wife (Girlfriend) is Pregnant” for us guys, or did you both use the newer, P.C., “We’re Pregnant”?
My wife had a very definitive opinion on the matter. She never referred to the two of us as being pregnant. She believed that the whole idea was ridiculous. She basically pointed out that pregnancy was a physical state, and that I was incapable of being pregnant, which is true. I agreed, I never considered myself, or us as a couple, pregnant. I would point out that I was going to have a baby soon, but not that I was pregnant.
How did you guys handle the situation? |

| Re: We’re pregnant! Or not? I agree that "we're pregnant" sounds dumb. My husband usually just says "we have another one on the way" or "we're expecting", cause we are both expecting, but he's never been pregnant. If he ever does get pregnant, I still wouldn't say "WE'RE" pregnant, cause it would be just him. But I don't think science will ever come far enough that we'll need to worry about it.

When Kristie's not feeling well, I always tell her, "It better have kinky hair and a broad nose or I'm calling my LOWYAH!"
She never EVER thinks that's funny.

Oh yeah, I think I remember reading that somewhere -- probably in the "vasectomy" thread. D'oh....

Neither, first off it wasn't me. I'm still packin'
It was the old tube cut and tie, and as she was on the table anyway it only took another couple of minutes to complete.

| Re: We’re pregnant! Or not? When our boys were due, I'd say "I'm pregnant", since I, being the female, was the only one capable of actually being pregnant. However, we would also say "We're expecting", as both parents certainly go through the emotions of "expecting" a baby.

Not really, but pretty much. | That wasn't at Jetgirls. That was at the other site on Yahoo where only nitwits are allowed to post. Surely you don't go there???!!! :0 |
