Default Kids.. WWYD

My 4 year old, who has been potty trained form age 2, now thinks he can pee anywhere… Just 5 minutes ago he peed on a box in my kitchen. The sad part is, that I have to cover my mouth because I am trying so hard not laugh, while punishing him. I made him clean it up, and sit in the corner for 10 minutes. What would some of you do, he also likes to pee outside sometimes too, it drives me nuts.. I don’t get it, he has never done this before.

Sometimes when kids, especially boys, train so early like yours did (age 2 is pretty early for a boy) then they suffer a relapse a little later on.

All you can do is reinforce where potty functions are supposed to take place. I think your reaction was perfect. Make him clean up, and a few minutes in time out to think about it. Stick with that same game plan, and just be consistant.

Me, I'm still working on getting my almost 4 year old to use the potty at all. He'll be 4 in July, and he has used the potty, and knows what to do, but he just doesn't care enough yet to want to use it consistantly. Sigh. I'm hoping his little brother won't be so stubborn.

He started early because he is a big copy-cater of his dad. He does everything I have to do. If we’re walking in to the store he has to walk around the car in the same direction. So its just that he picks up on everything, and sometimes it drives me nuts… but I love it!! I really do, it does make me be more careful.

I took him flying in the C172 last week he had sooo many questions it was awesome. So know he always asks me how to certain things, then he will mimic the action and play like he is flying a plane. Its so cute, today he was playing with a Cessna model, and he says “Airplane, Lima, 109123456 wants to take off and I want to go duper high” HAHA My little future aviator….

"I don’t get it, he has never done this before."

Maybe he's "pissed off" because you spend so much time on the internet and not enough time playing with him....

Can you define Potty? There are just so many definitions for guys. e.g. tree, bottle, etc.
