Default Damn Weebles

My 2 year old has a heck of a throwing arm. Today he threw a Weeble at my face, from a range of 6 inches with all the ooomph he could muster.

I now have a fat lip, and look like someone punched me. It hurts to talk, laugh or smile.

Ouch.

I love Weebles, I think they're cute, lots of fun and the kids play with their Weeble Castle and Treehouse playsets a lot. But youch they are HARD little SOBs when they come flying at your face.

Reminds me of when my 3 year old sister threw a solid wood alphabet building block at my head. I don't remember if there was an imprint of the letter C on my forehead, but it hurt like hell. Oh, that was AFTER she had thrown up on My Buddy. Little girls can be so cruel..

He's barely two, and to him it was just playing. The only 'punishment' you can really do to a kid that age is a slap on the hand and a stern 'No throw!'. He doesn't understand the concept of his actions hurting someone else yet.

Is this your story for the police/child services, or do you want more time to work on a better one???

Child services? I'm the one with the fat lip, not the kid!

Does that make me an abused parent? Hmm.....

Yep abused parent, or spouse. Next you will try and tell us your kid slipped and fell hurting themselves on the coffee table.

Heh. Nessa took a Harold the Helicopter from Thomas the Tank Engine to the lip in pretty much the same fashion. Picture here:

Check the lip. It was pretty.

As for the Weebles....we've got the Weeble castle, and Gavin loves it. I refuse to call them Weebles, though. They don't have the silly round plastic that water gets into when you put them in the tub and they've got sculpted hands and faces instead of paper. They aren't real Weebles.

Yeah, they're not the 'real' thing, but they are pretty fun The kids loved the treehouse set I got them last summer, and I scored big time and got the castle on clearance at Meijer and only paid $20 for it! As for the lip, mine looks about the same! Only mine's the top, not the bottom. Swelled up nice and big, and is a nice shade of purple unless covered up with lipstick. Sadly, my guy didn't care that he made me cry. He just sat there and looked at me like, "what's wrong with YOU?" Then I had to have a stern talking-to with my 3 year old about not laughing at someone when they've been hurt and are in pain.

That'll teach you how to duck.

When Brendan (R2F2) was not yet 2, I was tickling him and he threw his head back while he was laughing (the best sound in the world ) and BAM!!! Nailed my mouth. Blood everywhere .... and he just laaaaaaughed.

I feel your pain sista!!!
