| Cast Off Well, today was the day Gavin (and Nessa and I) were freed from the shackles of plaster slung around his legs. Went to the doctor, x-rays came back good, so they started up the saw. He was actually REALLY good for the first 30 minutes. Didn't cry, get fussy or anything. After about half an hour, he started to get cranky and just wanted it over with. Took about 45 minutes to cut the whole thing off.
Right now, he's asleep in his bed, but earlier he was celebrating his freedom to move by rolling around in the floor. He's still wobbly in the walking department and needs help either from one of us or a nearby table, chair or toy. Some of it is his muscles are still stiff. A lot of it probably is he hasn't walked in over 6 weeks. He seems to be working hard at it, and will probably be running us both ragged in about a week or so.

| Re: Cast Off Thanks for all the kind words everyone. He's finally getting back to his normal, walking self. We kept the toddler bed in, and he's still liking that. No night roaming either, even though we've got the gate in front of his door just in case.
