So we have submitted the paperwork to show we want to adopt. By summer of next year we should have a new addition.

That's great!
Bill's sister's sister-in-law and her husband just adopted their baby girl from Guatemala. They brought her home a few days before Christmas, what a great Christmas present!
I hope your process goes quickly and smoothly for you guys!

Going this route legal transfer is in 3 days (California Law minimum). | Unfortantly we had a placement for 20 months only to be pulled back from adoption to Mom, 2 months later back in system, but because of school he was placed at another home that ended up adopting him.

Good Luck! | That sucks!!!!! Not only for the mom and guardians, but for the child. I couldn't imagine my daughter having to remember and get attached to new faces. The route we are going costs a bit more but it seems worth it, especially since taxes and jobs give incentives, rebates, and deductions for adoptions.
